A photo left over from our snowfall a couple of weeks ago. Not much to post this week, as I’m still working on this one project and now I’m coming down with a cold to make life more fun.
My thoughts go out to the royal family. The queen’s second eldest son, Prince Friso, was seriously injured in an avalanche today while skiing in Austria. He’s in critical condition, but they say he’s at least stable. I hope he recovers fully.
Colds suck, my sympathies. I thought about taking my first sick day today in about 10 years (that being back when I was just a wee student worker), but I had a senior level research class coming in for library help so I had to go in.
But I survived. Thanks to a lot of hot tea.
Feel better soon!
Have some rest and sip hot tea with lemon and honey. Get well soon, Alison! 🙂
Thank you both for the get well wishes. Something seems to be going around as a number of friends have all been felled by this awful cold. I’m not a tea drinker, I’m afraid, but I am enjoying some nice hot coffee — and some paracetamol. Niki, bring any OTC medicine you might take. The Dutch recommend paracetamol and nose spray for everything. There are no OTC antihistamines or anything remotely like that. Even the doctor just tells you to take paracetamol. I’m not much of one for lots of medicine, but when your nose is runny and you feel awful, some Sudafed or Benadryl or Nyquil suddenly becomes much more appealing! 🙂
I hope you feel better soon. On the bright side; we are now moving towards spring.
Thanks. Today has been particularly bad. Hopefully this will be the worst and tomorrow I’ll be feeling better. I saw some flower buds on the ground in the park yesterday, so hopefully they’re a sign of lovely spring weather to come! No more rain!!!
