I just returned home from a trip to Minnesota (I will post on the blog shortly). I crossed paths with one of these mobile drinking establishments. They called it a peddle pub. It gives a whole different meaning to the concept of drinking and driving. Also, it’s probably a good way to avoid a beer belly!
Perhaps not surprisingly, this was a special thing going on that night during the university student’s introduction week. It certainly does give new meaning to drinking and driving, though! What alerted me to their presence was the incredibly loud singing, but then, that’s pretty common here.
They do look fun, but also a bit confusing. It seems strange to face one way and pedal, but then move “sideways”! Maybe the beer helps with the discombobulation. 🙂
