Yesterday was a beautiful day with the sun shining and the temperatures climbing up into the teens. That meant, of course, that all of Utrecht was outside. We went to dinner with friends — more to come in another post — and the cafés and restaurants with outdoor seating were filled to overflowing. This is an old picture I took at Fishes, a fancy fish shop on Nachtegaalstraat. The cheerful colors and the thought of light, fresh, crisp flavors of summer meals to come is quite encouraging, even if the weekend weather isn’t looking as nice.
I might have been tempted to tip over that crate and run away with it!
I know! I’d love one of these crates. I see so many of them around town, but have no idea where people get them!
You know what I spotted in the store? strawberries:) we are one step closer to nicer weather and in season fruits and veggies!
Yum! I have a recipe for strawberry bread (or muffins) that makes the whole house smell fantastic while it’s baking. It tastes so good that you can’t stop eating!
This is beautiful!! I love the yellow. We were blessed with TWO lovely days this week. Now, here we are on the weekend, and it’s….
I was so sad when the weather turned awful Friday. At least the sun is back out today! I even managed to have a window open for a while yesterday, in between bouts of heavy rain. 😉
it’s going to be great weather again…im convinced! I love the photo, well done!
Thanks! I’m so glad the temperatures have warmed up a bit. Can’t wait for spring socializing!
At least today is looking very nice again here in Amsterdam and it should get even better soon 🙂
It’s gotten nicer again here today, too, fortunately. Hopefully the sunshine will stick around.
